The first Livebox 6 subscribers do not hide their satisfaction on social networks. The flow measurements meet expectations, enough to send the previous generation back into the closet.
Stability and performance, these two qualifications can already be associated with the Orange Livebox 6 launched just a week ago. The moment the first subscribers install the operator’s new baby WiFi 6E in their living room, the first speed tests take place on social networks. And it is clear that Orange keeps its promises in terms of speed.
Just crazy, my network just multiplied by 8. I now have 2Gb/s compared to the Livebox 5 where I was at 250mbps.
I now have to receive the Wifi 6 repeater and the Airbox on offer (lucky for the price 🤡). https://t.co/7FT5HrBICd pic.twitter.com/Q9zpqZp7iS— Luke (@LucasDlf_) Apr 13, 2022
On paper, the Livebox Max offering promises download speeds of up to 2 Gbits/s unshared and 800 Mbits/s upload, all wired. If these are maximum speeds, many subscribers will benefit from them from the first use. In fact, some customers exceed 2 Gbit/s.

If the stability of the Orange network is no longer to be presented, maximizing the connection from the start is a real positive point to put in favor of the incumbent operator. We now have to wait and see for the first wireless speed tests with WiFi 6E and the contribution of the 6 GHz band. Orange has announced that there should be no loss compared to a wired connection. For the time being, some subscribers achieve speeds of 700 Mbit/s in both directions.
Ultra easy installation in 5 minutes and without any configuration. The first speed test is really great: the speed has doubled compared to my previous Livebox. The #Livebox 6 is fire bravo @Orange_France pic.twitter.com/T97CulX7qb

As a reminder, the Livebox 6 has 5 Ethernet ports (only one at 2.5 Gbps, the other at 1 Gbps). The desire is to stand out especially in the area of wireless connectivity with the integration of WiFi 6E which offers more throughput and reduced latency as much as possible. The operator also offers up to 3 WiFi 6 repeaters in its new offer, as well as a scalable 20 GB 4G Airbox. This 100% fiber offer is listed for €34.99 for 1 year and then for €54.99 per month, ie €5 more expensive than the Livebox 5.
