Indeed, the spread of inflation control continues this week and in particular this Tuesday with no less than 11 departments involved in the payment. The energy voucher allows the most modest French households to pay their energy bills. Its payment depends on the resources available to your household, it is advisable not to exceed a certain income ceiling. Know that it is paid automatically, no action is expected from your side. If you don’t receive it, just don’t check all the boxes to take advantage of it. As a reminder: the amount of the energy check is between 48 euros and 277 euros.
The distribution of the energy check also depends on your department of residence. For your information, this week of April is already the third episode. Please note that there may be a delay of one month between the very first payment received on March 30th by the residents of Aisne (02), for example, and the very last one, scheduled for April 29, which will include residents of Ariège (09) ) Re . The energy check is a device that helps the most precarious households to pay their energy costs. Its grant depends on the household’s resources, which may not exceed a ceiling determined according to the number of dependents. There is no procedure: the energy check is automatically sent by post, usually in the spring. In the context of runaway inflation, the government announced in December the payment of an additional check for 100 euros. This happened between 13 and 22 December. Please note: the use of the energy check is limited to paying the energy bill. But how should you proceed once the check has arrived? You can pay online by entering the check number and contract references on the dedicated site. You can also complete the procedure by post, by sending your energy check to your energy supplier and enclosing a copy of your invoice. Finally, you have the option of delivering it in person to an RGE-certified professional who has carried out energy renovation work in your home.
The energy check is reserved for the most modest households. The allocation depends on the household resources and the composition of the household: your reference tax revenue is taken into account. Please note that it must be less than EUR 10,800 per unit of consumption (PU). As an indication: a person represents a CU. The second person is counted at 0.5 and each person at 0.3 CU. To find out whether you can benefit from the energy check, you must therefore divide your reference tax income by the number of consumption units in your household. The energy check is paid per department. The check is automatically sent between 30 March and the April 29, 2022 depending on where you live.

You certainly meet the conditions of the energy check and yet there is no trace in your mail? In this case, please contact support via the contact form on the dedicated site or by phone. Do not forget to bring your tax return. “In order to benefit from the energy check, you must have declared your income to the tax authorities (even if your income is low or zero)”, we recall in the Frequently Asked Questions. “After you have regularized your situation, you can request an energy check. If, on the other hand, you have not yet declared your income for the following year, you can no longer claim the benefit of the energy check.
You do not have to do anything. The energy voucher will be awarded soon automatically† In practice, it is the Tax and Customs Administration that forwards the list of eligible households to the Services and Payments Office (ASP). The latter is responsible for editing and sending the check by post. Eligible households therefore receive it automatically, without having to fill out a form. So there is no point in contacting the services responsible for the energy check if you are not eligible.

EDF is one of the electricity suppliers that accepts the energy check to pay your electricity costs directly online. “You don’t have to wait for your next bill: you can now use your energy check, it will be credited directly to your customer account”, we explain. on the official site of the energy check† Enter the number of your energy voucher.
The energy check can be sent by: post True rpublished in clean hand to the energy supplier. In this case, you must attach a copy of a document with your customer credentials and include it on the back of the check. But you can also use it directly online, on the website chequeenergie.gouv.fr.
Please note that when carrying out work, the check can be used directly to pay the invoice.
