Almost six million French people will soon receive their energy checks. They have been shipping since the end of March.
Energy check: what is it? Energy checks are designed to help you pay the following costs:
Energy bills and fuel purchases.
Energy costs included in your rent
Certain work or energy costs for your home
Once you receive it, you can use it to pay your water bills, gas or fuel.
If you live in an institution (e.g. EHPAD or home), the Check can be used to help pay energy-related costs. It can also be used to pay utility bills, works or renovations.
The people who benefit from this support have an income of less than € 10,800 per unit of consumption (PU). The voucher has a minimum value of € 48 and can go up to € 277.

Please note that you do not have to take any steps to take advantage of the energy voucher. It is the tax authorities itself that draws up the list of eligible persons. The latter sends this list to the Services and Payments Bureau (ASP), which then sends the cheques.
You can use your energy check to pay your energy supplier. It can be combined with the device MyPrimeRenov† Moreover, you do not have to wait for your next bill to use the energy check.
You just have to pay online via website committed to the service by entering your customer reference, check number and scratch code. You can also send the check to your supplier. In that case, don’t forget to attach a recent invoice or a document with your customer references.

Receive your energy check
You can also contact your supplier and ask him to deduct the amount of your energy check directly from your next bill. To do this, tick the red box on your energy check and send it by post. You can also do this through the website dedicated to energy checks.
Once this process is complete, you will no longer need to do this on this contract as long as you are entitled to the check.
The energy check is valid for one year. This means you have until March 31, 2023 to use the one you received this year. If in doubt, check the validity date on the check. Please note that if the amount of your check is greater than the amount of your invoice, the difference will be deducted from the next invoice.
Emmanuel Macron breaks the leg of the French and then offers them a crutch. The energy check covers a minimal part of the price explosion. Instead of a one-off and insufficient measure, we propose a sustainable solution: a huge tax reduction!#Navy President pic.twitter.com/fBvebGrUYY
