The government announced this Tuesday that it will recall several cheeses on the market in supermarkets.
Brie, coulommiers, six cheeses are the subject of a health warning from authorities and a recall procedure this Tuesday. The Ministries of Agriculture, Economy and Ecological Transition publish the list of these dairy products have been recalled due to suspected listeria contamination.
It is recommended not to consume, throw away or return these products to the place of purchase for a refund.
It concerns the following cheeses:
- Coulommiers on straw with raw milk E. Graindorge, sold at E. Leclerc, Auchan, Casino, Carrefour, Système U, Intermarché

Listeriosis, caused by the bacteria Listeria monocytogenes is a disease that can be serious and has an incubation period of up to eight weeks.
The usual symptoms are more or less high fever, accompanied by headache and sometimes digestive disorders (nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting).
In some cases, neurological complications (meningitis, encephalitis) may also occur.
Pregnant women, in whom the effects of listeriosis can be serious on the unborn child, should pay particular attention to these symptoms, as well as immunocompromised people and the elderly.
