Gavi not the most expensive debutant in European big league 5
For several years now, the CIES Football Observatory has been determining the value of football players, thanks to a precise algorithm that takes into account various criteria (age, contract duration, level, performance, status, etc.). RB Leipzig holds pits
For example, in Germany we find the most expensive beginner of the Main-5. This is RB Leipzig central defender Josko Gvardiol (20). A must-have starter since his arrival from Dinamo Zagreb last summer, the Croatian international (10 caps) is worth an estimated €96.2 million! He is his teammate and attacking midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai (21 years old, €60.3 million), a defector from RB Salzburg, as well as one of the new nuggets of FC Barcelona’s training center, midfielder Gavi (17 years old) for , 58. €6 million).
At the foot of the podium we find the left side, loaned by Sporting CP to Paris Saint-Germain, Nuno Mendes (19 years old, 58 M€). An author of good performances in Paris, the Portuguese is ahead of Crystal Palace central defender Marc Guehi (21 years, €50 million), Bayer Leverkusen’s Piero Hincapi (20 years old, €42.6 million), the attacking Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Jesper Lindstrom (22, €37.8 million) and another Bayer Leverkusen central defender, Odilon Kossounou (21, €36.5 million).
The young talents of the L1
Ligue 1 is fairly well represented in the Top 10. Rennes winger Kamaldeen Sulemana (20, €33.8 million), transferred from Nordsjaelland, is in 9th place. The Ghana international made a remarkable debut in the French championship, where his technique has already worried several opponents before suffering a back injury that has kept him off the field since February. Just behind that, Monaco striker Myron Boadu (21, €29.8 million) is in 10th place. Despite a complicated first season in France, the former gold nugget of AZ Alkmaar maintains a good rating.
