Like the last appearances in Lille, Lille relied on an individual performance from Edon Zhegrova to take a point from Angers. Here are the Mastiffs’ notes after this encounter.

Leo Jardim (5): When he can’t help Anjou’s goal, he let go of several hot balls without really securing his defence, like this let go ball that almost landed in his goals in the first half.

Zeki Celik (3.5): The Turkish international has big problems both offensively and defensively. Lots of bad choices, losing the ball while facing Boufal and Doumbia, he was often caught behind his back, like on the Angevin goal.

Jose Fonte (4): The Lille captain was, as often, overwhelmed by Anjou’s technique and speed during the few opposing raids. A rather feverish match for the Portuguese.

Tiago Djalo (5): Lille’s most reliable defender has reacted again this season. Unfortunately for him, he is the author of the goal against his side, even if he had no other choice, as he was let down by the rest of his defense.

Gabriel Gudmundsson (4.5): The Swede tried a lot and if he succeeded in some things, he missed most in his crosses by wanting to go too far.

Renato Sanches (4.5): Deported to the right, de Lille’s number 10 was active, but he gradually lost his brightness in the game as he started for the first time since his injury against Saint-Etienne a month ago.

Benjamin Andre (5): He is not technically the most comfortable, but he has always been in the fight to scratch the balls in Anjou’s feet.

Xeka (5): Like his friend in the middle, he’s valuable in recovery, but his technical ability to get around a well-grouped team leaves something to be desired.

Jonathan Bamba (4): An interesting start to the game before sinking and missing almost everything he did, like his corners being way too high.

Jonathan David (3): Unable to keep the ball back to goal, too slow in the face of the match, the Canadian delivered a poor performance on the grass field of the Raymond-Kopa stadium, where he had scored the first goal of the title match on less than a year ago.

Burak Yilmaz (4): Like Bamba, his first half hour is positive and accurate in his choices. But his first offside and his yellow card took the Turk completely out of the game and missed everything he did after that.
