Ramos accuses Rubiales
It concerns a message from Pique to Rubiales, sent in May 2020, in which the Spanish defender criticized then-Real Madrid player Sergio Ramos to the FA president. In the audio, current PSG player accuses Rubiales of having maneuvered into the shadows to sack David Aganzo, head of the main players’ union, the Association of Spanish Footballers (AFE). Aganzo had replaced Rubiales in this position in 2017. Pique then asked the RFEF president not to send the recording of Ramos to other people: “For you. Confidential. Keep it for yourself”.
In the audio addressed to Pique, Ramos accuses Rubiales of maneuvering behind the scenes to evict David Aganzo. “Three or four people from AFE told everything to Rubi (the nickname of Rubiales), even with Aganzo as president, the Real defender launches. So he took them and chased them away. From that moment the war started and now he wants kill him, because Rubi wants to rule the Federation and the AFE.”
Pique then forwarded the message to Rubiales, urging him to behave discreetly. “Damn, I don’t want to lead all this, none of these moves because I don’t want to get involved and I don’t understand the circumstances of everything and so on,” explains Pique.
