Game news PlayStation Plus: the “free” PS5 and PS4 games of April 2022
And here we go again! While Sony has just revealed what’s behind the codename Spartacus, the Japanese company is taking the floor today to highlight the games that will be offered to PlayStation Plus subscribers starting April 5. So, were the leakers right again?
So it’s from Tuesday April 5tharound 5 p.m. that players who subscribe to PlayStation Plus will be able to grab a total of three new PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 games from their library “for free.” And as usual for a few months now, the different leaks are shared on the right and the left were on the right, as indeed we find Hood: Outlaws & Legendslike Kill the spire and Spongebob: Battle for Bikini Bottom: Rehydrated†
Hood: Outlaws & Legends (PS4/PS5)
We start with Hood: Outlaws & Legends, a multiplayer title developed by Sumo Digital and published by Focus Entertainment that was not necessarily unanimous in our columns. The title rated by 10/20 is a game that combines PvP and PvE and is heavily inspired by two popular Ubisoft licenses called for honor and Assassin’s Creed† Indeed, in this production, two teams of four players must attack the same fortress patrolled by AI-controlled guards to extort countless treasures from them. Good news, the title set in the Middle Ages will be available “for free” on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
Beat the Spire (PS4/PS5)
Second, we find the excellent Kill the spire which caused a sensation at the time of its launch as it had managed to combine the roguelite genre and deck building in the most beautiful way. In this production signed by Mega Crit Games, the brave player will have to build his own deck of cards to traverse many dungeons inhabited by particularly tough enemies. Of course, to bring a small dose of randomness and make the games unique, each dungeon offers different paths. Like Hood: Outlaws & Legends, Slay the Spire is available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
Spongebob: Battle for Bikini Bottom: Rehydrated (PS4/PS5)
We’re closing the April selection of PlayStation Plus with Spongebob: Battle for Bikini Bottom: Rehydrated, the remake of a platformer first released on PlayStation 2. As the name suggests, SpongeBob: Battle for Bikini Bottom: Rehydrated offers players the opportunity to take control of SpongeBob SquarePants, as well as his friends, to evolve in this colorful and crazy underwater world. Our favorite sponge’s goal is to save Bikini Botton from an attack by Plankton, who plans to conquer the city by any means necessary.
