BMW M celebrates its fiftieth anniversary in style. The sports branch of the Bavarian manufacturer unveils the new generation of the BMW M2 for the occasion. This second version of the sports coupé is based on compact dimensions, a chassis developed at the Nürburgring, a six-cylinder in-line engine without hybridization and above all a design that needs to be talked about, for better or for worse.

Compared to the previous generation, the M2 is 11.9 centimeters longer and 16 millimeters wider to 4.58 meters long, 1,887 meters wide and 1,403 meters high. It’s also 11 millimeters lower. The wheelbase is set at 2,747 meters. Characterized by small nostrils and rectangular air intakes, the front panel design contrasts with the latest productions from BMW M. The LED headlights appear to be cut directly into the body and are partially drawn through the hood.

This atypical look clearly distinguishes the M2 from the 2 Series Coupé. In its profile, the car has prominent wings, which gives it a particularly muscular style, inspired by racing cars. It stands on 19-inch two-tone M alloy wheels at the front and 20 inches at the rear, or even 21 inches if you opt for M Performance wheels.
