Game News Xbox: Mario lands on console in a new (and awful) game

The video game industry is sometimes full of anomalies, the arrival of which is really questionable. How on earth could this have happened? Who allowed such a thing to happen? All these questions are legitimate about this Mario game published on Xbox, since it was removed. You have to see it to believe it.

Stealth Mario on Xbox

This is unusual news: Mario, arguably the most famous video game character in history and Nintendo’s most iconic mascot, made a brief appearance on Xbox. And this is no joke! We assure you that this is not an official agreement between the Japanese manufacturer and Microsoft (which would be damn historic), but rather from a deception by a small independent developerwho clearly didn’t have cold feet.

His game is called (in a totally supposed way) Supertan Marioner 3D Infinity World Adventures, an elaborate title whose inspiration is more than obvious: it takes the form of a “runner”, ie a software in which you control a character that runs automatically and which you have to get as far as possible by dodging the traps scattered here and and there. A well-known and recognized concept: on this side we don’t teach you anything… except it’s really an ersatz of Super Mario, copying Nintendo’s concepts without any right.

Back and forth for the mustachioed plumber

From the typography of the game to the 3D model of the hero – completely identical to Mario – through the music, Supertan Marioner 3D Infinity World Adventures is nothing more than a completely illegal parody of Nintendo’s benchmark. Here’s the official pitch:

The adventures of Super Marioner continue. This time with 3D. Travel through the jungle with marioner. Jump between platforms. Try not to fall in this endless fast paced adventure. You have 3 chances. Try to get the highest score.

It goes without saying that the above-average realization of the title must be underlined: above all, makes you wonder how the game managed to pass Microsoft’s filters and approvals, in addition to making money without the knowledge of Nintendo and the American giant. A real flaw in the system.

Supertan Marioner 3D Infinity World Adventures has since been removed from the Xbox Store for pretty obvious reasons (and we think the author is getting a soap opera from the authorities), but video recordings were made, which can be found below. For culture.
