For his first attempt, Ember Lab simply pulls off a masterstroke. Delivering an action-adventure game that is eminently successful on all levels, the studio, no matter how neophyte, doesn’t settle for “merely” fulfilling the specifications of an excellent production. Kena: Bridge of Spirits is a breath of fresh air, wonderfully combining the grace of a lavish animated film and the game design intelligence of an ingenious video game with multiple sources of inspiration. As for Ember Lab, who is confronted with so much mastery of their subject for a first production, we should take our hats off and look forward to their next creation already!
