Game News PlayStation Now: April 2022’s ‘free’ games of the month, including critically acclaimed indie

PlayStation’s traditional month-end announcement of upcoming additions to the PlayStation Now service catalog fell a little later than expected. Finally, it might not be a big deal for subscribers who only have to wait a few hours before jumping on the April news. By the way, here are the winners for this fourth month of 2022!

Overview

  • Outer Wilderness
  • Journey to the Savage Planet
  • WRC10 FIA World Rally Championship
  • Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood

The PlayStation service is preparing to shut down in June. PlayStation Now is dead, long live PlayStation Now you might say. It doesn’t seem so incongruous, as it will merge with PlayStation Plus, marking the heyday of the new formulas introduced by PlayStation and unveiled by last Tuesday at the latest.† For those who missed the announcement, please refer to our detailed articleand for subscribers concerned about merging services, this is how it should beMeanwhile, there are four games to discover this month and tomorrow!

Outer Wilderness

We started this month very strongly with the excellent Outer Wilderness which will be included in the PlayStation Now catalog tomorrow. In this stellar adventure, you are caught in a time loop, forced to explore this mysterious open world made up of enigmatic planets to collect data needed to clarify your quest.† However, don’t expect to enter hospitable ecosystems, as each of them has its specifics and well-buried secrets. Last September we returned to the genesis of this student project become one of the biggest successes of the independent scene!

Journey to the Savage Planet

In order not to be out of place in this month of April, PlayStation Now promises us another sci-fi experience, Journey to the Savage Planetthat sends us to the expanse of space to explore part of it in search of a habitable planet for humans, on behalf of the company Kindred Aerospace† After many tries, you will set your sights on the planet with the sweet name ARY-26, as charming as it is absurd. But, small flat, you land on this one with relatively little experience and equipment available, so hang on to survive even though you can count on the support of one of your friends through a co-op feature.

WRC10 FIA World Rally Championship

For those who want to get a little Gran Turismo 7PlayStation Now allows you to take a short break with WRC 10 FIA World Rally Championship, without neglecting the asphalt † The greatest rallies in history are available to you and to win these exceptional events (there are 19), you can, quite naturally, drive exceptional cars (Alpine Subaru, Ford, Toyota, Audi and many more). The contest also celebrates a very important anniversary, its fiftieth, and offers you a Career mode hoping to secure first place on the podium

Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood

It’s hard to say we saved the best for last with Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood that’s how much the game has divided the press and the players, whose opinions are sometimes very clear. Anyway, PlayStation Now subscribers can find out for themselves this month. On the program, the famous role-playing game offers us in this video game adaptation the adventure in the guise of Cahal, a powerful Garou overwhelmed by his inner anger who has chosen to go into exile.† During his journey and his participation in the great war against the oil company Endron, Cahal will have to triumph in fierce and savage battles against a backdrop of mystical adventures.
