“Yesterday I was so disgusted, last night I had rabies and this morning I had a knife between my teeth, even though it was raining. I wanted this one, I had great legs today, I only had one thing in mind: to win. I feel a lot of relief, maybe yesterday it did me good to see that i could win races again today was not easy i broke a spoke i did the whole stage with a broken spoke i derailed the gears did not change on the last climb, i had quite a bit of minor stress during the stage it was really a relief to cross the line and raise my arms i bounce back very quickly its kinda my specialty i feed on my failures so much with every failure it gives me strength.Today I was really down, I haven’t missed a break since the start, I did everything hard all day, it rained, it was cold but I didn’t feel the cold neither the rain. “

“I know I’m capable of winning good races again”
“I really just wanted to win today and I don’t think anything could have happened to me on such a stage. I didn’t trust the rain, I fell in the rain ten days ago at the Circuit de la Sarthe, this kind of the fall there it leaves marks in confidence i hadn’t been in the rain since my fall so i didn’t feel very comfortable today a sprint or a breakaway or on my own the most important thing for me was to Now we’re not going to talk to me about my thousand and a few days without a win since the Tourmalet so it’s something that will ease me, really release me from a weight and now I know I’m able to good races to win So next week I’m going to the Tour de Romandie, there will be very nice stages and I hope to shine there.
